How many junior jobs are there really?
We went through every posting since March, the expired ones too, and picked out those that are clearly junior. How many there are, in which areas, and what they ask for.

How many junior postings are there?
Since 1 March 2026 we have collected 8,226 non-senior postings, the expired ones included. Of these, 1,175 are clearly junior: either the title says so, or the experience asked for does. Roughly as many, 1,127, are internships and student jobs. Most of the rest either ask for at least two years of experience (2,578) or do not make clear what level they are for (3,346).
Every posting we counted, with its source, employer, date and the experience asked for, is in the list of 1,175 postings.

The share ranged from 10% to 21% by month. Most of the swing comes from which source brought in many postings in which month, so read the monthly figures with care: the 14% over the whole period is the more reliable one.
October 2026: only up to the 15th.
How can you tell a posting is junior?
Most junior postings do not say in the title that they want a junior. For 743 postings (63%) only the experience asked for gives it away, for example when the experience field says “1–3 years” or “junior”. In the title, 432 postings say it (“Junior Java Developer”, “Graduate System Administrator”). Anyone who only searches titles for “junior” misses a good part of the opportunities.

Where are most junior postings?
This is the count. It shows where you find the most junior postings, even if the area is big and only a small part of its postings are junior. By count, Backend leads with 152 junior postings, followed by Data / AI and Adatelemző / BI. That is partly because these areas have many postings to begin with. The next section looks at the share.

In which category is the chance biggest?
This is the share. It shows what part of an area's postings is junior, that is, where you have the easiest time in proportion, whatever the size of the area. That is why the order differs from above. Rendszergazda / Hálózat is the most open: 101 of its 479 postings are junior (21%). At the other end is Hardver / Embedded, at 8%.

In which role is the chance biggest?
This is a narrower view. Within the categories we split the postings into specific roles, because the share can differ a lot even inside one category. Here Alkalmazás-üzemeltetés stands out: 33% of its postings are junior, followed by SOC / incidenskezelés (25%).

What do they ask of a junior?
The typical junior posting does not look for a complete beginner. 744 postings (63%) ask for 1 year, or a range starting at 1, such as 1–3 years. Only 28 start explicitly at 0 years or mark themselves for graduates. Of the rest, 262 say only that they are junior and 110 say nothing.

Of the 68 postings that are called junior in the title and also give a number of years, 18 ask for at least two. A “junior” title does not always mean a beginner, so read the requirements through.
Among technologies, SQL (26%), Python (24%) and Linux (20%) are the most common in junior postings.

More telling is what shows up far more often in junior postings than in general: Selenium, ELK Stack, ELT, ITIL, MySQL, PHP, DNS and Windows. These are mostly testing, operations and basics. These are asked for less often: Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, LLM, REST API and Jira.
Who is hiring juniors?

⚠ GHOST JOB. Much of Deutsche Telekom's listings may be fake, that is, ads for jobs that were filled long ago or never existed, so read their numbers with care. What that means and how to spot it is explained here: Ghost jobs, or fake postings.
What does this mean if you are looking as a junior?
Do not search for the word “junior” only. 63% of junior postings do not say it in the title and show it only through the experience asked for. The board's Junior filter shows these too, together with the postings that state no level.
One year is the typical expectation. Few postings are meant for a complete beginner, so it is worth listing internships, student jobs and serious personal projects as experience.
Not every area is equally open. Among the postings of Rendszergazda / Hálózat, IT biztonság and Adatelemző / BI, a larger share is junior than in the other areas.
The basics count. SQL, Python and Linux are the most common requests; cloud and specialist tools are expected of juniors less often.
English is not optional. Roughly every second junior postings asks for it.
How we counted
- We counted every posting between 1 March 2026 and 15 October 2026, including those that have expired since and left the database. The same posting (same source and link) counts once.
- The data comes from two places: postings that have already left the database (expired, archived) and those still listed. If a posting appears in both, the live row counts. Every posting we counted is listed on the list page, linked below.
- A posting is clearly junior if its title contains junior, jr, graduate, entry level or the Hungarian pályakezdő, or its experience field says junior, pályakezdő, or at most 1 year (or a range starting at 1, e.g. 1–3 years). Internships and student jobs, senior postings, and titles that also name a higher level (e.g. “Junior/Medior”) are left out.
- This is narrower than the board's Junior filter, which also shows postings that state no level.
- We left out senior postings because they were not collected throughout. Every share refers to non-senior postings.
- The “listed now” part refreshes every half hour from the postings currently up (for LinkedIn, the last 30 days). Every other figure was made from data collected up to 15 October 2026.
- Technologies and English were counted only where the posting's tags are filled in: for 701 junior postings. The employer is known for 942 junior postings.
- Areas follow from the posting's title and tags. We show a share only for areas with at least 100 postings and roles with at least 50.
